This FAQ answers the key questions we hear about Reynaers, Durven, and ABC Aluminum Solutions. It is a quick reference for how we work, what we deliver, and how we help keep projects moving smoothly from early design through installation.
Durven designs, fabricates, and supplies premium Reynaers aluminum window, door, and façade systems for modern homes and design driven buildings. We bridge European system engineering with North American fabrication, focusing on slim sightlines, high performance, and reliable operation. On each project we help select the right system, support your drawings and details, produce shop drawings, and fabricate the units to size. We then deliver a complete package and stay involved with your team so the system performs as intended on the finished building.
We focus on high performance aluminum systems only. Our core range includes windows, sliding and folding doors, entrance doors, and curtain wall or window wall solutions built around Reynaers’ flagship systems.
We are a fit for design driven residential and low to mid rise commercial projects where performance, slim sightlines, and detailing matter more than lowest first cost. Typical projects include luxury custom homes, boutique multifamily, hospitality, and high end retail or mixed use buildings.
We serve architects, builders, and developers across the United States. Our fabrication base in Tijuana, across from San Diego, makes the West and Southwest a natural focus, but we have successfully delivered projects as far as the Hamptons in New York. If your project is in the U.S., we welcome the inquiry and will work through logistics with your team.
Durven brings together Reynaers systems, industrial scale fabrication through ABC Aluminum Solutions, and a team that stays close to your project from design through installation. You get high performance aluminum windows, doors, and façades, detailed shop drawings, clear coordination with your architect and builder, and logistics handled into the U.S. under a single, accountable partner. The result is simple: ambitious designs, solid project economics, and a supply partner you can trust on the next project, not just this one.
We get involved early. We review your drawings, performance targets, and budget, then recommend suitable Reynaers systems and configurations. We have access to the full Reynaers product line and practical experience fabricating everything from windows and doors to sliding walls and complex façades, so we can propose solutions that fit both design intent and performance needs. We provide system data, CAD details, typical sections, and guideline spans, and we help refine interfaces, glass makeups, and operation types so the final package is buildable, compliant, and aligned with your vision.
Yes. Our primary showroom is in the Las Vegas area, in partnership with RLI:
671 Professional Ave #541, Henderson, NV 89015 (by appointment).
We use this space to review Reynaers systems, hardware, and key details with clients. For high profile or complex projects, we also welcome visits to our fabrication and technical center in Tijuana. It is an easy flight into San Diego, and from there we coordinate all ground logistics so the visit is straightforward and efficient. Seeing our operation and capabilities up close often helps project teams gain confidence in the systems and in our ability to deliver.
Yes. We prepare detailed shop drawings for every project and coordinate them with the design team and contractor. Structural and performance engineering can be provided through our partners where required by the project.
We work with qualified installation partners or the builder’s preferred glazing contractor. We coordinate scope, provide system training when needed, and support the field team with details and answers during installation.
Reynaers systems are designed to meet demanding thermal, air, water, and structural requirements. For each project, we select the right profiles, glazing, and configurations to meet applicable codes and performance targets, and we can reference available system test data as part of the submittal package.
All of our systems are built to order. You can tailor sizes, configurations, operation types, finishes, hardware options, and interface details within the limits of the system engineering and performance requirements.
Lead times depend on system selection, finish, and project size, but most projects fall within a defined production window after shop drawing approval and release to fabrication. We confirm realistic dates up front and track them closely throughout the project.
Durven works in the premium segment, but our model is efficient. We fabricate at scale through ABC Aluminum Solutions and work directly with Reynaers on system supply. That combination helps us offer high performance European systems with strong overall project economics. We are not always the lowest price, but we are often very competitive when you look at the full package of system quality, design flexibility, lead times, and long term reliability.
We start by reviewing your drawings and goals, then propose suitable Reynaers systems with a budget quote so you can test feasibility early. Once a direction is chosen, we refine configurations and finishes and issue a detailed line by line proposal.
After approval, we produce shop drawings and coordinate details with the architect, builder, and installer. When submittals, glass makeups, and hardware are confirmed, you release the package and we move into fabrication, assembly, and kitting through ABC Aluminum Solutions.
We then handle import and logistics, shipping the systems by truck to your job site or staging yard, labeled by elevation and opening. Your installer handles installation, and we stay available for technical questions and aftercare so the system performs as intended on the finished building.
We support both. For renovations and replacements we pay special attention to existing conditions, interface details, and phasing so the new systems integrate cleanly with the existing structure and finishes.
We align our warranties with Reynaers system standards and the project scope, which are documented in the contract. More important, we stay involved after delivery to address questions, adjustments, and any service needs that arise in the field.
We can supply complete preglazed units or deliver frames only for your local glazier to finish on site. When we include glazing, our main options are high-performance, insulated and laminated glass with low E, solar control, tinted, acoustic, and safety makeups, aligned to your project’s specifications. On every job we confirm early whether glass will be handled by Durven or by your glazing partner, so scope and responsibilities are clear from the start.
Our U.S. entity, Durven Aluminum, LLC, is the company you contract with and pay in U.S. dollars. We act as importer of record and handle all cross border logistics and paperwork from our fabrication facilities into the United States. Systems ship by truck from our Tijuana and San Diego logistics base directly to your job site or staging yard, on custom A frames or in crates clearly labeled by elevation and opening. In practice, it works like a domestic shipment: we coordinate delivery windows with your contractor or installer so the systems arrive when the site is ready.
Durven is backed by ABC Aluminum Solutions (www.abc-aluminum.com), a leading North American aluminum extruder and fabricator with more than 30 years of experience, over 3,000 employees, and a track record as an aluminum manufacturing partner for major global companies.
Durven is the Reynaers dedicated fabrication operation created to put that scale, capacity, and technical depth to work directly for architects, builders and project owners. For you, it means your project is supported by an industrial manufacturer with proven processes, stable capacity, and a team set up to be a long term partner on future work.
“Durven” comes from a Dutch word that means “to dare,” a subtle nod to Reynaers’ European roots and to the kind of architecture we want to support. The name is a quiet reminder of what we want to enable for our clients: the confidence to pursue better design and better performance, knowing there is a serious engineering and fabrication team standing behind it.
